Do kids have some cognitive abilities because they’re brought up around games their entire lives. Can we escape from using this in journalism?
“No. This is a medium that not just kids but also young adults have grown up with. When you’re talking about anyone under 25 you’re probably looking at a large group for which this medium has been influential in some way.” – Ian Bogost
“All of the young people of today have grown up with computers, and they interact with the world in a completely different way. They aren’t content to sit there and just stare at something.” – Paige West
“Gaming is not a stupid activity. It’s incredibly complex learning. We have to say how does that link to what I want to do with explaining the news. Give people the tools to figure something out, that’s the future, that’s what we have to do.” – Howard Finberg
