Mario Tascón, Content Director of Prisacom and El Pais (Spain) talked about the innovations his company is making, and just like many of the companies we’ve heard thus far, it’s very dependent on video and interactive features.
And they have quite a bit of them too. Games, comics, music reviews and previews, food and travel guides, it’s all available from El Pais
“With all this new technology, the question is is it a newspaper or is it a tv?” Tascón said.
One of the most impressive features Tascón showed was an example infographic from the El Pais website, which beautifully showed an airplane crash using both a map and a computer-generated simulation of the situation. You can check out an example graphic, this time with a violin, from El Pais, here.
Another great graphic, and one that got a nice reception, can be found here.
El Pais is doing some pretty impressive things, ladies and gentlemen.
